About

An acupuncturist who works alongside your doctor

Prof. Dr. Syed Shabber founded the Acupuncture Centre, Bengaluru in 2011 and later the Global Acupuncture Diabetes and Obesity Center (GADAOC) in RT Nagar. He leads every first consultation personally and sets each patient's treatment plan.

Qualifications

  • MD (Acupuncture)
  • PhD (Acupuncture)
  • International Acupuncturist
  • Over 13 years of acupuncture practice in India and internationally

Areas of focus

  • Diabetes support — neuropathy, sleep, energy, weight
  • Obesity and weight — appetite, cravings, habits
  • Chronic pain — back, neck, knee, migraine, sciatica
  • Lifestyle conditions — stress, sleep, digestion
  • Supportive care alongside medical treatment, never in place of it

He has conducted many acupuncture camps and educates people to lead a healthy life. Patients come from across India and abroad; consultations are available in English, Hindi, Kannada, Urdu and more.

How he works

Honest first, then treatment

  1. A proper first consultation, about 45 minutes. Full history, examination, your reports and your current medicines. You hear plainly what acupuncture is expected to help with — and what it will not.
  2. Medical side covered. Where diabetes, thyroid, blood pressure or hormones are involved, Dr Mohammed Salman Khan (MBBS, Diabetologist) advises on the plan. No medicine is ever stopped or changed by us.
  3. A plan with review points. Sessions are agreed in advance and reviewed at set points, with your readings and symptoms tracked. No promise of a cure; results vary from person to person.
  4. Follow-up that does not fade. SEREON, the clinic's WhatsApp assistant, sends reminders and takes practical questions between visits.

Questions patients ask

Before you book

Will he see me personally?

Yes. He leads every first consultation himself and sets the treatment plan. Follow-up sessions are at the clinic in RT Nagar.

What conditions does he support?

Diabetes-related symptoms, weight and obesity, chronic pain, stress and sleep, digestive and women's health conditions, and others — always alongside your doctor's treatment. If your condition is not listed, message the clinic and he will guide you personally.
